Naijascholarships Buzz is glad to once again anonounce to the public that the awaited Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) and SNEPCO scholarship award for 2018 has kicked off. Interested Nigerian undergraduates are hereby invited for the  2018 NNPC—SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme. 

About:
The NNPC-SNEPCO scholarship award is open for Nigerian undergraduates in their 200LVL. The scholarship aids the successful awardees/students during their studies at the University with a yearly monetary grant that runs till the completion of their undergraduate degree.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to successfully qualify for the NNPC-SNEPCO scholarship award, interested applicants must have the following at their possession during the application process:
  • Be a citizen of Nigeria
  • Currently be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in a 5 grade system
  • Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship (National or International)


Courses Eligible for the Scholarship: 

The NNPC-SNEPCO scholarship award is open for students studying any of the following underlisted courses:

Petroleum Engineering
Marine Engineering 
Instrumentation Engineering 
Civil Engineering 
Mechanical Engineering 
Materials/Corrossion Engineering 
Computer Engineering 
Electrical Engineering 
Chemical Engineering 
Metallurgical Engineering 
Mathematics/Applied Mathematics 
Pharmacy 
Geophysics 
Economics 
Computer Science 
Medicine 
Agricultural Science 
Finance 
Geosciences/Geology
Physics/Applied Physics 


How can I apply?
Eligible students studying the above-listed courses in Nigerian tertiary institutions(universities) are elegible to submit an electronic application at https://www.nnpc-snepcoscholarship.shell.com

Take Note:

All qualified applicants should be aware of the following notes:
  1. Qualified applicants are expected to have a valid email address for communication of results.
  2. Qualified applicants should should submit their completed forms online at https://www.nnpc-snepcoscholarship.shell.com.
  3. Personal and educational details of the qualified applicants should be attached in the application form.
  4. Qualified applicants should upload scanned copies of the following as part of the application; 

  1.     a.  A recent passport-sized photograph of the applicant in JPEG format, and not more than 200 kilobytes.
  2.     b. University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission Letter;
  3.     c.   Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;
  4.     d.   O' Level Result(s); and 'A' Level /OND /NCE Result(s) as applicable;
  5.     e.      Letter of Identification from State of origin indicating applicant's local government of origin; and
  6.      f.      Academic results for 100 level.

Application Deadline
The applications remains valid and open till September 17, 2018 and the examination date will be made known to the shortlisted candidates.

Also Note that 

  • Each document submitted online must have a maximum size of 200KB and the image format must be in JPEG.
  • NNPC—SNEPCo scholarship award application is totally FREE. No charges apply so beware of fraudsters.
  • SNEPCo will not accept email applications. It is important to visit the official website for detailed information and to access the online application portal.
  • SNEPCo DOES NOT ASSIGN Representatives/Agents to assist applicants.
  • Any candidate found to have presented false documents will be disqualified or withdrawn at any level of the scholarship.
  • Only short-listed candidates will be invited for a computer-based test’
